How much music can affect you? If you ask me this kind question I would definetely deliberately shout: MUCH!
Music is dilemma for me. Once, they can save me from a dark day bloody cloudy mood into a bright summer day; and likewise, or even gets me higher and higher when I am excited, or lower lower and the lowest till when I am deeply sad.
Music is my emotion. Music is an inspiration. When I am asked to conceptualize photographs, I’d rather close my eyes and listen to some good music of my choice. Even when I write work reports, my best friend will always be, music.
I don’t remember when I started to love music, perhaps my family influence much. My dad loves swing jazz and those other kind of jazz, but I prefer swing. From Nina Simone into Billie Holiday, with a bit of Frank Sinatra and much Louis Amstrong. My mom loves BeeGees and the entire 70s pop like Todd Rundgren or Gillbert O’Sullivan.
I listen to girl bands such as Spicegirls and Shampoo when I was kid. Do not forget to mention the remarkable boyband era of 90s: Boyzone, Backstreet Boys, Westlife, 911, Ultra, Hanson, and many more! And then I know some popular britpop bands, which are cool and different compared to those boyband, name it Placebo, Suede, Blur, Oasis, Kula Shaker, also the Cardigans, Catatonia, etc.
When internet came to my room, it’s like a wonderland to me, I found more indie bands around the world who share their music. H-e-a-v-e-n. These days, we have named the heaven with soundcloud. I talked too much, sorry, always excited about what I listen now. Enjoy this summer rain.
